Care & maintenance
It is easy keeping your furniture in excellent condition and looking at its best. The most important thing is to keep your furniture indoors in a climate-controlled environment. This helps to avoid larger fluctuations in humidity and temperature which can affect the shape of the wood.
It is also worth noting that if the furniture is placed in direct sunlight, the wood colour will slowly darken over time. Some people love this effect while others want the furniture to remain exactly as when they bought it. It's a matter of taste.

Protection
We use oils and waxes to reveal and protect the beauty of our furniture. The finishes are both natural and non-toxic which is great for the environment and our own health.
The top wax layer of the finish may need to be reapplied over the years to come to keep the furniture looking at its best. The necessity and frequency depends on the use of the product. A serving board will, for example, need a fresh coat of wax more often than a shelf due to the differences in usage.
Adding a wax finish is easy, fast and satisfying. This makes it a great little weekend craft. The wax restores the colour richness in the wood as well as its elegant sheen. We make our own special blend of beeswax and mineral oil which guarantees an easy-to-apply, premium finish. It is also completely safe to use so you don't have to worry if you get it on your skin.
